Common questions

The beat doesn't line up with my song. Tap the tempo button on the song deck: tap along starting on a "1", use "Make this beat bar 1", or try half or twice as fast. Songs played by a live drummer can drift slowly; loop a section to practise it.

How do I add my Navidrome or Jellyfin server? Tap the song deck, then "Add a server…", and enter its address (for example http://192.168.1.5:4533 at home), your username and password. If iOS asks, allow Local Network.

Why can't I pick Apple Music or Spotify songs? Streaming services don't let apps use their songs this way. Side B plays files you own: from Files, your Music library (songs downloaded as files), AirDrop or your own server.

Is my song in my exports? No. Exports contain only what you played: pads, beats and loop layers.

What does the hinge do? On a foldable iPhone, turn on "Bend with the hinge" and folding the phone muffles, echoes or slows the sound. Half-fold it like a laptop and the pads move to the lower half.

"Sample what's playing" recorded silence. Some apps block recording, the same way they block screen recording. Try another source, or share the file to Side B.

Credits for Freesound sounds. Sounds marked CC BY need a credit when you post your track. The export screen lists them with a Copy button.
